How to Charge the NES Controllers

In this article, you'll learn how to charge the Nintendo Entertainment System Controllers for use with Nintendo Switch systems.
Important:
- The Nintendo Entertainment System™ controllers can be paired and used wirelessly with Nintendo Switch Lite.
- A Nintendo Switch console is required to charge the controllers.
Note
- It takes approximately 3½ hours to fully charge the NES Controllers.
- When fully charged, the battery duration for the NES Controllers can last approximately 20 hours. This may vary depending on use.
- When NES controllers are attached to a Nintendo Switch system, the system will not fit in the dock with LAN port. The NES controllers can be charged by connecting the AC adapter directly into the USB connector on the Nintendo Switch system, by using a dock without LAN port, or by attaching them to a Nintendo Switch – OLED Model system and placing it in the dock with LAN port.
Complete these steps
- Attach the NES Controllers to the Nintendo Switch console.
- Charge the console.
- The NES Controllers charging will be indicated by the battery and lightning bolt icon below each controller on the ControllersControlesManettesControles screen.
