How to Pair with Pokémon GO (Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!)

Follow these steps to pair the Pokémon GO smart device app to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
Before you start
You will need:
- Your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console
- Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! software, updated to the latest version

How to update game software
- Ensure the console is connected to the Internet.
- From the HOME Menu, select (but do not start) the icon for the software you wish to update.
- Press the + Button or – Button on your controller, then select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.

Complete these steps

Begin pairing on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch
- Launch Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! from the HOME Menu on your console.
- At any time during gameplay, press the X Button to access the in-game menu, then the Y Button to open the Options menu.
- Select Open Pokémon GO Settings.
- Select Yes when prompted. The game will begin searching for a Pokémon GO account to pair with.

Continue pairing in the Pokémon GO app
- Launch the Pokémon GO app on your smart device.
- Open the menu by tapping the Poke Ball in the bottom-center part of the field screen.
- Tap Settings in the top right.
- Scroll down and select Connected Devices and Services.
- Select Nintendo Switch.
- Select Connect to Nintendo Switch
- The app will search for a console game to connect with.

Complete pairing on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch
- In Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, select Yes when the console locates the Pokémon GO account to complete the pairing.
- Once they’re paired, you can transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO by visiting the GO Park complex in Fuchsia City.
- In Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, select Yes when the console locates the Pokémon GO account to complete the pairing.
Additional information
- Pokémon GO connects to the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The Poké Ball Plus is not needed to connect them.
- Once paired, Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region – including their Alolan and Shiny variants – can be moved from the Pokémon GO app into Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch.
- Pokémon cannot be moved from Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! to the Pokémon GO app.
- There is no limit to the number of Pokémon GO accounts that can be tied to a single save file in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!.
