How to Transfer Mew from the Poké Ball Plus (Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!/Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!)

Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch - OLED Model

In this article, you'll learn how to transfer the Mythical Pokémon Mew from a Poké Ball Plus to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!.

Before you start

  • The option to transfer Mew becomes available after you have battled your Rival for the first time. Before then, the Communicate menu option will be grayed out.
  • An Internet connection is required to receive Mew.

Complete these steps

  1. Verify that the Poké Ball Plus contains Mew.
    • Press and hold the control stick button on the Poké Ball Plus for a few seconds, then let go.
    • The ring around the control stick button will light up as a pink/purple color and make a sound like Mew laughing. (You can also shake the Poké Ball Plus to hear Mew’s voice.)
    • The colored ring will flash about once per second if it contains a Mew that has not yet been transferred to a game.
  2. Start Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! from the HOME Menu.
  3. Use the Poké Ball Plus as your in-game controller.
  4. Press the Top Button on the Poké Ball Plus during gameplay to access the in-game menu.
  5. Select Communicate.
  6. Select Mystery Gifts.
  7. Select Get with a Poké Ball Plus.
  8. You will see a message that says: “A Pokémon is in your Poké Ball Plus. It’s a present for you!” Select Yes twice to connect to the Internet and receive the Pokémon.
  9. Once you have received a gift, it will be in your Pokémon Box and you can add it to your party.
    • To change Pokémon in your party, press the X Button to open the in-game menu, then Party. Select Open Pokémon Box to see and manage the Pokémon you’ve collected.
