Error Message: You Cannot Play This Software Yet.
Information to help you when you're attempting to start a game from the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch HOME Menu and you receive an error stating that you cannot play this software yet.
What to do
This error message indicates that you have pre-purchased a game from Nintendo eShop, and the title has not yet been released.
A non-playable version of the game will be pre-loaded to your console at the time of your order. You'll see an icon for the game on the HOME Menu, but you will not be able to launch the game until it is officially released. You'll be able to start playing it after downloading a small update, beginning at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on the game's release date. (Please note that some third-party titles are not available until 12:00 PM Pacific Time on the game’s release date.)
