Information to help you when you receive error code: 2179-2102 while attempting to back up save data to the cloud on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch, or the console displays the message "Unable to back up save data right now. Please try again later."
Before you start
You will need:
- Your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console
- An Internet connection
What to do
Attempt to back up your save data at a later time or the following day. This issue will usually be resolved within 24 hours.
If you are trying to back up save data from two different consoles, allow for the first save data backup to complete.
Additional information
This error may be caused by the following situations:
- You attempted to back up save data from one console, while uploading save data from a different console.
- The Internet connection was interrupted when the save data backup was started.
