Problems with a Specific Game Pak
Nintendo DS
The information in this article can help you when you experience:
- Problems with only one specific Game Pak, but other Game Paks work fine
- Problems with one specific Game Pak, but you do not own any other Game Paks
Note
- The following steps are for problems with a single Game Pak or if you only own one game. If more than one game is experiencing problems, please review our information on problems with multiple Game Paks.
What to do
- Make sure that you're using only licensed products with your Nintendo system.
- Unlicensed products are not tested for compatibility and may not work correctly with all games. Try playing the game without any unlicensed accessories.
- Inspect the connector pins of the Game Pak. If they are bent, or contaminated with foreign material, the Game Pak may not work and may cause damage to the Nintendo DS system.
- If the connector pins appear damaged, you may find our information on replacement options for your Game Boy Advance Game Paks helpful.
- If possible, try the Game Pak in another Nintendo DS or Game Boy Advance.
- If the game works properly in another system, the problem is with your Nintendo DS and the system will need to be replaced. Please review the replacement and upgrade options for older systems.
- If the game still does not work in another system, it is likely a problem with the Game Pak. You may find our information on replacement options for Game Boy Advance Game Paks helpful.
Situation not resolved
Nintendo is no longer offering service requests for the Nintendo DS, so if none of the steps above solve the problem, then it's time to replace your system. Please review the replacement and upgrade options for older systems.
