Unable to Locate the Correct Input Channel to Play Wii

The information in this article can help you when you are unable to locate the correct input channel on the television.
Note: The Wii mini is not compatible with Wii Component Video Cables. Ensure you are using the Wii AV Cables that came packaged with the system.
What to do
- Check the connection.
- The system may be plugged into an output.
- It might be connected to a different input than what is selected.
- Verify the device has inputs and not just outputs. Examples of devices that typically do not have inputs:
- Cable Boxes
- Satellite Receivers
- Digital Converter Boxes
- DVD players
- Video Cassette Players (VCP's)
- Laser Disc players
- The input may take multiple types of connections. The input may allow for component video or S-Video or standard AV, and will automatically detect which is connected. Verify that there aren't any additional cables connected to the same input.
- Using a universal remote may be the issue. Because inputs can vary from one device to another, universal remotes don't always change the input select properly. Ensure that you are using the original remote.
- If connected to a VCR, the VCR may be in the wrong mode and needs to be in VCR mode. Insert a tape and press play to ensure the VCR is on the correct mode.
