Information for when you are unable to use a game's online features on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch, and error code 2124-3001 is displayed.

Before you start

You will need:

This error code indicates that the software you are using must be updated prior to connecting to its online features.

Save your current game progress and close the software.
Restart the console.

  1. Press and hold the POWER Button for at least three seconds.

  3. Select Restart.

Update the software to the latest version.

  1. Ensure the console is connected to the Internet.
  2. From the HOME Menu, select (but do not start) the icon for the software you wish to update.
  3. Press the + Button or – Button on your controller, then select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.

Launch the game from the console's HOME Menu, then access the game's online features again.
