The information in this article can help you when you try to view a captured video on Nintendo Switch and receive the message "This video cannot be played. This activity is currently restricted by Parental Controls."
Note: Captured game play videos on consoles with system menu version 5.0.0 or higher will be restricted by Parental Controls depending on the Restricted Software setting and Software Rating Organization.
What to do
To view a captured video, first return to the HOME Menu and click on the Parental Controls button at the top center of the screen, then enter your parental controls PIN.
- If you forgot your parental controls PIN, it will need to be reset.
