How to Save Games or Channels to an SD Card

In this article, you'll learn how to save games or channels to an SD Card.
Important
- Copied Virtual Console or WiiWare games can only be played on the Wii console they were originally downloaded on.
- Wii Menu 4.0 or higher is needed.
- The Wii mini does not support the use of an SD Card.
Complete these steps
- Access the Wii Shop Channel.
- Find a WiiWare title, Virtual Console game, or Wii Channel you wish to download and select it.
- Select the desired game, then select Download or Redownload.
- A confirmation screen will appear. Select Yes and choose SD Card.
- If the SD Card icon is grayed out, then there is not a compatible SD Card inserted into the SD Card slot on the Wii console.
