Step by step instructions to perform a system update on the Nintendo DSi.
Note
- In order to perform a system update, your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL will need to be connected to the Internet.
- You may find our information on the latest updates for features and enhancements helpful.
- System updates may be required in order to play new Nintendo DSi games or continue to access the Nintendo DSi Network Service.
What to do
- Select the settings icon (wrench) from the Nintendo DSi menu.
- Select the right arrow three times to reach page 4.
- Select "System Update."
- Select "Yes," followed by "Next."
- Select "I Accept," followed by "OK" to begin the update.
- Once complete, or if the system already has the most recent update, tap "OK" to power down the Nintendo DSi and finish the system update process.
- Press the power button to turn the system back on.
