How to Identify Games From Other Regions

In this article, you'll learn how to identify games not produced for the Americas.
Note: Games and systems distributed throughout the Americas are the same. For example, games purchased in the U.S. will work in systems purchased in Mexico, Brazil, or Chile--and vice-versa.
Complete these steps
- Check the back or side panel of the game packaging far statements regarding system compatibility.
- Nintendo 3DS family: "Plays on Nintendo 3DS systems sold for the Americas only."
- Older systems: "FOR SALE, RENTAL AND USE ONLY IN THE USA, CANADA, MEXICO AND LATIN AMERICA"
If any other listing is displayed, this indicates the product was made for another region, and will not work with a system made for the Americas.
- Check the game card itself (Nintendo 3DS Games Only)for a code printed on the cartridge label. If the code does not end in "USA," then it is meant for an overseas market.
- Example of a title meant for this region: LNA-CTR-AWZE-USA
