What Is WiiConnect24?
Wii & Wii mini
Note: As of June 27th, 2013, Nintendo has discontinued data exchange between Wii friends using WiiConnect24. This includes Wii message exchanges via Wii Message Board, use of the Wii Number, Mii exchanges via Mii Channel, and exchanges of messages or data in some game titles.
WiiConnect24 allowed the Wii console to use its high-speed internet connection to accept data for a variety of services including News and Weather, posting messages on the Wii Message Board and receiving messages from Nintendo about new Wii features.
