In which situation did this error code occur?

• While playing software which closed unexpectedly
  • If this occurred on Nintendo Switch 2, please follow Error Message: There Was a Problem, and the Software Needed to Close.
  • If this occurred on Nintendo Switch, please follow Error Message: The Software Was Closed Because An Error Occurred.
• While attempting a system transfer from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2
  1. Stop the transfer. Back out, if you're able, otherwise restart the console.
  2. Proceed with the setup for the Nintendo Switch 2 without performing the system transfer.
     • You can manually transfer save data after setting up the console and signing in to your Nintendo Account.
     • I still want to transfer my data
       1. Cancel, then restart the system transfer.
          • On the source Nintendo Switch console, press and hold down the Left Control Stick and both the +/- Buttons for approximately three seconds. This should cancel the transfer and return to the HOME Menu. Then restart the transfer.
       2. When prompted, select Do not transfer Albums.
          • Including the Album data in the transfer will cause the system transfer to fail again.

  1. Restart the console.

       1. Press and hold the POWER Button for at least three seconds.

       3. Select Restart.

     • Console is not responding

       If the console does not respond, hold down the POWER Button for twelve seconds to force it to shut down. Then power it on again.

  2. Check that your console has the latest system update.

       1. Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
       2. Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
       3. Select System Update to start the system update process.
          • The system will check to see if an update is available.
