How to Insert/Remove microSD Cards on Nintendo Switch

How to insert or remove a microSD card on a Nintendo Switch family system.

Complete these steps

Insert a microSD card; Nintendo Switch – OLED Model
1. Power off the Nintendo Switch console, then gently swing the adjustable stand open to show the microSD card slot.

    Press and hold the POWER Button for at least three seconds.
    
    Select Power Options.
    
    Select Turn Off.
2. Ensure the microSD card is properly positioned with the label facing away from the console.
3. Insert the microSD card into the slot and gently push down until it clicks into place.
Insert a microSD card; Nintendo Switch
1. Power off the Nintendo Switch console, then gently swing the stand open to show the microSD card slot.

    Select Power Options.
    
    Select Turn Off.
2. Ensure the microSD card is properly positioned with the label facing away from the console.
3. Insert the microSD card into the slot and gently push down until it clicks into place.

1. Power off Nintendo Switch Lite, then gently open the microSD card slot cover.

2. Ensure the microSD card is properly positioned with the label facing away from the system.
3. Insert the microSD card into the slot and gently push down until it clicks into place, then close the slot cover.

1. Power off the Nintendo Switch console, then gently swing the adjustable stand open to show the microSD card slot.
