How to Change the System Language on Nintendo Switch

In this article, you'll learn how to change the system language on Nintendo Switch.
Important: When changing the system language, the Nintendo Switch console will need to be restarted. Any suspended software will be closed.
Note: You can use these steps to update the language settings if your system was accidentally set to a language with which you are unfamiliar.
Complete these steps
- From the HOME Menu, select System Settings.
- From the settings on the left, scroll down to System.
- From the settings on the right, select Language.
- Choose from one of the language options below:
- English
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
- Dutch
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Japanese
- Chinese (traditional)
- Chinese (simplified)
- Korean
