The information in this article can help you when the Wii Balance Board is not registering the correct weight when using it to play a compatible game on the Wii U in Wii Mode.
What to do
- If you haven't already, install the foot extensions.
- Check if anything is pressing against the bottom of the Wii Balance Board, then weigh yourself again.
- Check the battery. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
- If a Wii Balance Board cover is being used on the board, it can sometimes alter the readings. Remove the cover and try again.
- The Wii Balance Board will only communicate with the Wii Console if a compatible game is being used. It must also be synced to each game individually. Before proceeding, make sure that the game being played displays the following icon on its packaging:
