NES Classic Edition
The information in this article can help you when the Power LED on the front of the console shuts off unexpectedly during gameplay, while navigating the menus, or when pressing the Reset Button.
Note: If the Auto-Shutdown feature is enabled, the console will power off after one hour of inactivity.
What to do
- Power down the TV or monitor, and power down the system by ensuring that the Power switch is in the OFF position.

- Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet and the USB cable from the console.
- Unplug any controllers from the front of the system by pressing the tabs on the plug and then gently sliding out the connector from the control deck.
- Check the serial number on the bottom of the console.
- Systems sold in the Americas will have the serial number prefix "CU" followed by nine digits.
- Any other serial number prefix indicates the system is from another region; i.e."CEE" is a European console.
