Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch - OLED Model, NES Classic Edition, Super NES Classic Edition, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Wii & Wii mini

Information for when a consumer who resides in Latin America or the Caribbean needs servicing for a system purchased in the United States or Canada.

What to do

  1. Check the available service options for your country here before following these instructions.
  2. Confirm you have a contact in the United States or Canada who can act as your agent and set up the service request with Nintendo of America and receive the serviced product. Temporary addresses (like hotels) cannot be used.
    • This could be a friend or family member who resides there.
    • Nintendo or any employee of Nintendo of America can not be used as a contact.
  3. Confirm the warranty status of your system. If your system is sent in and determined to be out of warranty, or the issue found is not covered by warranty, you will be charged for the service.
    • How to check the warranty status of your system
      1. Go to the Nintendo Service Center.
      2. Click Check Warranty Status.
      3. Add your system's serial number into the search box.
      4. Click Check Warranty.

The warranty information shown in the Nintendo Service Center is just based on the serial number's status. If you proceed with sending in your system for service and the issue found is not covered by warranty, you will be charged for the service.

    • There is no status/expiration

If the information doesn't populate, we are unable to determine your system's warranty status. If your system is sent in and determined to be out of warranty, or the issue found is not covered by warranty, you will be charged for the service.

  4. Package your system and ship it to your contact in the United States or Canada.
    • You are responsible for any shipping charges associated with getting your system to your contact. Nintendo does not cover shipping between you and your contact.
    • To know what you should include, please call us at (001) 425-558-7078.
  5. Once your contact has received your system, they will contact Nintendo of America by either contacting Nintendo or by visiting our Nintendo Service Center to set up the service request order. Please note that any service fees would need to be paid by the contact.
    • We only accept U.S. or Canadian credit cards as payment; international cards will not be accepted.
  6. Nintendo will receive the system, perform any needed service, and ship it back to your contact. The process takes about 7-10 business days.
  7. Once your contact receives the serviced system, they would then ship the package back to you.
    • We recommend using a reliable courier in case problems arise. Nintendo cannot be held responsible for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit between you and your contact.
    • You are responsible for any shipping charges, taxes, or import duties associated with this shipment.
