How to Format an External Storage Device

In this article, you'll learn how to use the Wii U console to format a USB storage device.
Complete these steps
- Ensure the USB storage device is connected to the Wii U console.
- From the Wii U Menu, select System Settings.
- Using the Left Stick, scroll to the Data Management icon and press the A Button.
- Select Format USB Storage Device and follow the on screen instructions.
- This will delete all saved data from the USB storage device. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
