Do I need to plug in both USB cables for my GameCube Controller Adapter to work?

As a rule, both should be inserted; however, if you are short on ports, then only the black plug should be inserted. Be aware, though, that this will cause the rumble feature not to function as it is powered by the grey plug.

Can the GameCube Controller Adapter be used with other systems, such as the Wii?
