What Surround Sound Formats Does the Wii U Support?

- Not all games support surround sound.
- If the system is being used in an application or game that does not support surround sound, the system will default to stereo sound.
- You may need to update your Wii U to take full advantage of surround sound features.
The Wii U currently supports two surround sound formats:
- Six-channel linear PCM audio
- Dolby Pro Logic II (only in Wii Mode)
