Faint or No Sound
The information in this article can help you when
- No sound is coming out of the speakers.
- Sound is faint, even at the highest volume setting.
- Sound is only coming from one speaker.
Note: The Nintendo 2DS only has one speaker, and therefore it plays sound at a slightly lower volume than other Nintendo 3DS family systems. If the volume is only slightly lower than expected, then the system is functioning normally.
Complete these steps
- Ensure none of the speakers are covered.
- Turn the power off.
- Turn the volume to its lowest setting.
- Turn the system back on.
- Once the HOME Menu loads, slowly turn the volume all the way up.
- If sound can be heard clearly, the problem could be with a game or a feature's settings. Check the software manual for additional information.
Situation not resolved
If the speakers are still not functioning properly, the system will need to be serviced.
