How to Update Pokemon Shuffle

In this article, you'll learn how to download the update for Pokemon Shuffle.

As of March 23, 2016, a new software update for Pokémon Shuffle has been made available. This update marks the debut of all new features and stages and we recommend that all Pokémon Shuffle players download and install this update.

Note

Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
After downloading the update, please do not delete the update data. Update data can be viewed in the "Downloadable Content" area of the Data Management menu.
As of April 8, 2024, online play and other functionality that uses online communication has ended for Nintendo 3DS family software.

Complete these steps

Perform a system update to ensure that you have the most up-to-date version.
- Learn more about connecting your system to the Internet.
Scan the QR Code pattern below using a Nintendo 3DS system while connected to the Internet.
- Alternatively, you can download the Pokemon Shuffle update from the Nintendo 3DS HOME menu.
- QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
Select the Pokémon Shuffle Update and download it. Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied.
Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.

Ver. 1.3 (Released March 23, 2016)

Added new Survival Mode. (Available once you have cleared Main Stage 150.)
Added new Mission Cards feature.
Pokemon Max Level can be increased beyond level 10 with the new Raise Max Level item.
New Enhancements have been added, which will be useful for battles and to make your Pokemon stronger.
Jewel Bonuses have been added. Players who purchase Jewels will be rewarded with special in-game bonuses, as follows:
- Purchase between 5-9 Jewels: Heart limit increases by one and check-in bonus increases by 20%.
- Purchase 10+ Jewels: Heart limit increases by two and check-in bonus increases by 40%.
- Bonuses last until 11:59 PM UTC on the last day of the month when you made the purchase. (Example: If you buy Jewels on April 1, you will receive the benefits until 11:59 PM UTC on April 30.)
Return of Victini and Meowth’s weekend stages.
Players that check in between 3/23/16 and 5/17/16 will receive 3000 Coins and one Raise Max Level item.
Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
